Manufactured c. 1865. With browned Damascus barrels with concave rib signed “WILLIAMS & POWELL. 25 SOUTH CASTLE ST. LIVERPOOL” and engraved with sunbursts around the pin apertures. Rounded action with back action locks each signed “WILLIAMS & POWELL” within ribbons. With fine classic English border and scroll engraving throughout, action and locks with traces of original faded casehardened finish. Well-figured walnut stock with checkered grip and forearm. London black powder proof marks. In relined and refitted oak lined brass cornered leather case, the lid with large Williams & Powell printed trade label, the exterior of the lid with circular brass plaque engraved “H.H.
