Manufactured circa 1865 to 1870 with total production of an estimated 12,000 before being purchased by Colt in 1870. The top of the barrel has the one line address with the serial number on the underside. The assembly number "AI13" is stamped on the left of the grip frame under the grip and on the inside of both grip panels. Exceptionally fine, retains 95% plus of the original silver finish, which shows an attractively aged patina overall, and some light wear on high spots showing a mellow brass. The grips are very fine with some mild high spot wear and mostly well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
