The die stamped lid has the Rampant Colt above a Paterson rifle above crossed Paterson revolvers with exaggerated stocks. A double line border encloses: "[leaf]COLTS PATENT [leaf]/PATENT ARMS MANG Co. PATERSON N.J." The knob has a ring for a lanyard. It is numbered "11" inside.

ConditionFine overall with attractive aged patina on the brass, 60% original niter blue on the spring at the mouth, and distinct designs with some mild fading.
