Description:

The Colt London Model was manufactured from 1853 to 1856, with this example manufactured in 1853. It has the "-ADDRESS COL: COLT. LONDON.-" barrel address, London proof marks on the barrel and cylinder, "COLT'S/PATENT" on the left of the frame, all matching visible serial numbers with an unnumbered wedge, standard cylinder scene, varnished one-piece walnut grip, and rounded head screws.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with smooth gray patina and scattered mild freckling on the iron surfaces, strong traces of original blue finish on the bottom of the barrel, defined cylinder scene and markings, and 30% original silver plated finish remains with lightly aged golden patina on the exposed brass. Grip is also very good with numerous scattered dings and scratches, some minor edge wear, and retains the majority of the original varnish. Mechanically fine.
