Manufactured in 1916. Both revolvers have subsequently been embellished with nickel plating and gold plated cylinders, hammers, and triggers. Both feature blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrels are marked with the model and caliber marking on the left of the barrels and Colt address on the tops. The frames are marked with the Rampant Colt on the sideplates and Canadian proofs on both sides. Both revolvers are fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in an oval panel at the top. Included with the pair is a floral tooled leather holster rig with engraved silver embellishments. The cross strap on both holsters have a silver plaque with the initials "DDC" in block letters.

Very good, retaining 85% period refinished nickel finish with some scattered light wear, softening of the markings, and some pitting under the finish. The hammer, trigger, and cylinder retain 80% replated gold with high edge wear and front face of the trigger. Grips are very fine with some shrinkage at the top and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Holster rig is very good with some wear from use and an attractive patina on the silver.
