Receiver manufactured December, 1939. "S-A 10-40" barrel, "D2827-1" bolt, "D-35449-SA" gas cylinder, "D35832-0" operating rod with relief cut, "D28290" trigger housing, "C 46025" trigger guard, "C46008-2 SA" hammer", "B-8868-1" rear sight, blade front and peep rear sights, with a protective cover on the set screw of the former and a set of early pattern "BATTLE RANGE" elevation and "LEFT/LEFT" windage knobs with closed arrowheads and checkered edges, ribbed follower rod with round profile spring, boxed "S.A./EMcF" (Earl McFarland) inspection cartouche and crossed cannons stamped on the left of the buttstock with a circled serifed "P" proof on the wrist. Orange painted "96" on top of the stock comb. Includes a canvas sling, cleaning tools in the butt compartment, 1999 dated CMP Certificate of Authenticity, and a CMP hardcase.

Very fine, retains 95% arsenal refurbished parkerized finish with a few patches of mild pitting visible underneath the finish on the receiver. Stock is also very fine with scattered scratches and dents, and defined edges and stamps. Mechanically excellent.
