The French grey action has over 97% coverage with matte backed scrollwork on all sides. Gold inlaid borders and the following scenes with raised gold ducks: a pair of mallards in flight over a wetland on the right, two mallards landing on the left, a close up of the mallard head on the trigger guard, and one taking off and one in flight on the underside, above and below an inlaid banner reading "AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRHYNCHOS/475 of 500". Extra fancy checkered walnut pistol grip stock with semi-beavertail forearm, superb grain and a skip-line checkered bare butt. Includes the original box. This gun is number 475 if the series along with the previous two lots. Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue, gold, and coin finish with few light handling marks and crisp checkering on the wood. Box is fine. Mechanically excellent.
