Manufactured in 1958. Blued steel barrels with a dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib with 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked "**"/"*" (modified/full). French grey action with standard pigeon grade engraving consisting of a pair of pigeons on either on top of light open scroll, floral motif on the fences, and two bouquets on the underside. Fitted with a single trigger and manual selective safety. Mounted in a nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forend with Deeley release and engraved fittings and a pistol grip buttstock with "RGS" engraved initial escutcheon and Browning ventilated recoil pad. Includes a leather takedown case with "ROBERT G. SMITH" on the lid and containing an extra matched number 26 inch barrel set choked "**_"/"**" (improved cylinder/modified), two nickel "AF&Co." snap caps, and a "AF&Co." marked nickeled oiler. Second barrel set measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .728/.726 inches; choke constriction .012/.017 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.031 inches. Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and French grey finishes with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. The revarnished wood is very fine with some varnish absent at the toe, a stress line at the upper tang, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The second barrel set is excellent with limited handling marks. The case is excellent.
