Manufactured in November 1943. Features a winged blade front and type 2 "lock-bar" rear sight assembly. With a wide-base gas cylinder and cross-slot poppet valve plug. The barrel is marked "S-A-9-43" on the right side, with parkerized chamber. Includes an unmodified "D35382 6 SA" marked operating rod, "11" marked follower, and "D28287-12SA/S-A1<>" bolt. The trigger housing is marked "D28290-12-SA," with a "C46008 5 SA" hammer, "SA-11" safety, and unmarked milled trigger guard. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock bearing a boxed "S.A./E.McF." (Earl McFarland) inspection cartouche and crossed cannons ordnance wheel stamped on the left of the wrist, with a circled serif "P" proof on the underside and smaller ordnance wheel on the bottom of the pistol grip.

Fine overall, retaining 85% plus arsenal parkerized finish with scattered handling marks and edge wear. The re-oiled stock is also fine and has a few scattered dents and bruises, along with a section of wood missing from the left rear side of the rear handguard, and crisp cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
