Blued steel barrels with a beaded blade front sight, two leaf (one folding, one standing) rear sight, and German style claw mounts holding a Hensoldt Wetzlar Duralyt 1 1/2x scope on the matted solid rib, light engraving at either breech, and chambers with a single extractor. The casehardened sideclipped scalloped boxlock action displays scroll engraving and features double triggers (front is articulated) and a tang mounted manual safety with a gold "S" marking. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and an inscription oval marked "W.S./TYLER/JR./LEXINGTON/KY/U.S.A.", and a round knob pistol grip stock with rear sling swivel and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The identity of W. S. Tyler Jr. could not not be confirmed, though he is likely the son of American industrialist W. S. Tyler, founder of W. S. Tyler & Co. Length of pull 14 5/16 inches. Very good overall, retaining 80% original blue finish which has turned an attractive brown color on the barrels, 25% case colors concentrated in the protected areas, some light spotting, mild handling evidence, and overall crisp checkering. Scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent.
