The No. 4 weight barrel is fitted with a globe spirit gauge front sight and marked with the Ballard Rifle and Cartridge Company address on the upper left barrel flat, "4" barrel weight on the bottom flat just ahead of the forend, and caliber marking on the upper left flat just ahead of the breach. The receiver is fitted with a tang mounted peep sight, double set triggers and fancy schuetzen style lever. The rifle is mounted in an magnificently figured multipoint checkered walnut Schnabel tip forend with ebony insert and walnut palm rest, and a pistol grip buttstock with shadowline cheekpiece and casehardened pistol grip cap and Swiss buttplate.

Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks. Wood is also excellent with limited handling marks and a few minor dings and scratches on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
