With only 24,916 produced, the Winchester Model 53 is relatively much scarcer than most of their other lever action models. Manufactured in 1924 with standard markings, including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sight. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated shotgun buttplate.

Very fine, retains 75% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned/flaked to a grey-brown patina, primarily on the receiver. The wood is fine with a few scattered minor scuffs and some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
