Description:

Manufactured in 1944. Features a winged blade front and "S" marked two position flip-up rear sights, undated Winchester "W" marked barrel, Type II barrel band, "W" marked milled trigger housing, push button safety, "M" and "W" marked magazine catch, "W" marked hammer, "W" marked operating rod, "W" marked blued round bolt and "IA" marked magazine. Fitted with "W," "W.R.A./G.H.D," and crossed cannons cartouche marked low wood stock and "W" marked deep groove two-rivet handguard. With green web sling, metal oiler, and black rubber magazine cover.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original parkerized finish with a few light scratches on the barrel, light loss in the operating rod track, and crisp markings in the metal overall. The bolt retains 95% plus original blue finish. The stock is also excellent, with attractive original raised grain and rich oil finish, some light handling marks, nicks concentrated to the right side, defined edges, and crisp stampings. Mechanically excellent. One will look a long time to find a comparable example!
