Manufactured with a combination of a Pearl Manufacturing tube receiver and assorted vintage parts, this is a fine, functional example of the signature MP40 SMG of World War II fame. In the same class as the British STEN and the American M3, the MP40 was optimized for speed and ease of production, making heavy use of stamped metal in the construction. Blade front and two-leaf rear sights, with the Pearl markings on the underside of the receiver and mixed serial numbers and proofs on the other components. The lower receiver is paneled in brown ribbed Bakelite, with an underfolding steel buttstock and a brown leather sling. Magazine absent.

Fine, with 95% plus high polish blue finish, showing mild handling marks overall. The surplus components have been refinished, with some showing shallow pitting beneath the blue. The Bakelite panels are very good, with light scratches. Mechanically excellent.
