Manufactured during the final days of the Portuguese monarchy, between 1908 (the ascension of King Manuel II) and 1910 (the deposition of Manuel II and the establishment of the Republic of Portugal). Fixed sights, with the "crown/M2" royal cipher on the chamber, "circled triangle" army acceptance marks on the extension, barrel and frame, and a "DWM" front toggle link. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA", and the lower safety marking is polished blank. Fitted with straw finished small parts, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with a "circled triangle" stamped hardwood base. The magazine, grips, hold open and firing pin are unnumbered; otherwise, numbers are matching overall. Included with the lot is a black leather flap holster marked "AE" on the rear.

Fine, with 75% of the arsenal refurbished blue, showing covered pitting on the gripstraps, areas of mixed gray patina, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are also fine, with some flat spots on the checkering, and the holster is good with some cracking and scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
