Blued steel barrels with blade front sight, five folding leaf rear sight on the rear quarter rib which is marked "The Fauneta", "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co LONDON" and "MADE EXPRESSLY FOR LYON & LYON CALCUTTA" marked on the right and left respectively, period Birmingham nitro proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The blued boxlock action displays attractive scroll engraving with "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co." signatures on either side and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and horn tip inlay and round knob pistol grip stock with checkered flats, tear drop carved drop points, "ZOHRA BEGAM/Z.B/(Hindi)" marked in the inscription oval, and a blued steel trapdoor buttplate. Length of pull 14 3/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 3 oz.

Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 98% reapplied blue finish, some light pitting in areas beneath the finish, minor handling evidence, a few dings and scratches in the wood, and well-defined checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
