Blued steel barrel with ramped, blade front sight and ladder rear sight. The chamber has proof marks "crown/B" and "crown/U" on the left, and the top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N" and is dated "1903". The barrel and bolt are numbered to the receiver, and "22" is visible on smaller assembly parts. The bottom of the multi-point checkered pistol grip appears to have Gothic proofs. The lightly figured stock has a Mauser hard rubber buttplate on it. Front sling swivel absent.

Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish, with minor handling evidence, finish loss where the front sling swivel was removed, and minimal edge wear. Stock is fine with some bruises and period repaired grain lifting visible on the right rear side of the butt. Mechanically excellent.
