It is not known whether this action remained at the factory for that period or whether it was returned for upgrading at to the new, more powerful cartridge. Number 3-1/2 marked barrel with sporting front and rear sights. Two line Winchester and nickel steel lines. Top of barrel and action have proof marks. Paneled leaf spring straight grip action with standard trigger and finger lever. Initials "E.A." marked on the left side below the tang screw. Deluxe checkered straight grip stock with a WRA hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Checkered forearm with an ebony tip inlay. The rifle appears to be a factory gun made at a later date than the serial number would indicate.
