Dovetail blade front sight, no rear sight, the other dovetail cuts or tapped holes on the barrel have been threaded and set back. The left side of the barrel is marked with two line address/patent dates, "22 HORNET" at the breech, and "C (in a circle), "RF", "1" (in a triangle), "27" on the bottom. Low wall action, with casehardened breech block and lever, adjustable single set trigger, and tapped upper tang, filled receiver sight holes, checkered shortened original forearm with grasping grooves, and straight grip stock with a sling swivel and custom grooved buttplate.

Completely refurbished, with most of the dull blue finish remaining. There are a few light handling marks and areas of smooth wear. The colors on the breechblock and lever are strong and bright. The stock is very good, with some pressure dents and very sharp checkering. The action is excellent.
