Description:

Standard "MOORES PAT. FIRE ARMS Co. BROOKLYN N.Y." mark on top of the barrel and "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" around the rear edge of the cylinder. Blue barrel and cylinder and silver plated brass frame with scroll and punch dot engraving. Smooth bird's head grips marked "CM13" inside. With a partial box (22) original teat-fire cartridges in an orange box with black label which reads "FIFTY No. 32 / METALLIC / CENTRAL FIRE WATER PROOF / National Revolver / CARTRIDGES. / D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT ISSUED JANUARY 5, 1864."

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. The barrel and cylinder retain 40% of the original blue finish mixed with brownish patina and some minor rust on the cylinder. The frame retains approximately 60% of the silver finish with the remaining areas turning a smooth dark color. The grips are excellent with the varnish cracking on the right panel, some edge wear and only a few minor dings. Engraving and markings are clear. The action is fine. The ammo box is very good with the corners of the lid broken and some light edge and corner wear.

Description:

Top of barrel is marked " NATIONAL ARMS Co. BROOKLYN, N.Y.", the cylinder is marked " D WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JUNE 5 - MAY17 1864". Late variation with hooked extractor mounted on the right side of the frame. Blue barrel and cylinder and silver finished brass frame, scroll engraving with dot background on the frame, spur trigger and smooth grips on a bird's head butt. Fires the 32 caliber teat-fire, a special cartridge designed by Daniel Moore and David Williamson.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 85% of the bright original blue and silver finish. The barrel and cylinder retain approximately 70% of the original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina. The frame retains approximately 90% of the original silver plating with a few scattered small areas worn to the brass. The grips are good with 60% of the varnish remaining with the remainder chipped away. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is tight.
