This five shot revolver is marked "NEPPERHAN / FIRE ARMS CO. / YONKERS, N. Y." on top of barrel. This is an early type with a separate brass trigger guard. The loading lever stud on the bottom of the barrel is a replacement. The two piece grips are fastened with a single wood screw entering from the left side.

The metal has been cleaned and now shows a gray patina with scattered dents and light pitting. The grips also have light dents but retain considerable varnish. Mechanically fine.
