Description:

This is an early Model 1-1/2 single action Five shot revolver with the cam strain adjustment for the mainspring and the two line address with patents ending in 1871 on top of the barrel rib. Engraved "PRESENTED TO CAPT. PATRICK EAGAN / BY THE OFFICERS OF THE 3d POLICE STATION" on the backstrap, "APRIL 6th 1878" on the left side of the frame and "PROV. R. I." on the right. Has not been researched.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 80% nickel, mostly missing around front of cylinder and mixed with light rust where nickel is missing. The grips show wear at the high spots. Mechanically functional. PROVENANCE Reid Waddell
