The standard one line address/Smoot patent marking is on top of the barrel rib, extending onto the frame over the cylinder. The serial number is stamped on both halves of the left side of the frame under the grip. It is an unusual serial number and was possibly mis-stamped with both of the middle digits stamped upside down. The rosewood grips are finely checkered. They are not marked. The half-moon blade front sight is set directly into the barrel rib. The rear sight is a notch in the raised boss at the rear of the top strap.

Excellent. Retains 85% nickel on barrel, frame and cylinder. 80% casehardening on hammer. Mechanically excellent. Bore is fine. PROVENANCE Red Jackson
