Description:

Marked "CHICHESTER RIFLE" on top of the barrel near the center and "PAT. APR. 6 1878" on the left side of the barrel below the name. An adjustable sight is mounted on top of the frame. The flat walnut shoulder stock has the number 6 on the metal. The anchor at the top of the grips shows that it was made by Thomas Ryan. Notice that this has a rifled barrel instead of the shot barrel usually found on the Chichester made by Hopkins & Allen.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 95% nickel on he barrel, 80% on the frame and attaching metal, 50% on the cylinder. The grips and stock are fine with minor dents and scratches. Mechanically needs work. The attaching screw is partially stripped.
