Marked "IVER JOHNSON & CO. WORCESTER, MASS. U.S.A. / PAT'D APR6. 86. MAY 10.87. OCT.16. 88. PAT'S PENDING" on the barrel rib and "SWIFT" on the top strap over they cylinder. The "&Co" in the company name were Andrew-Fyrberg and Rheinhardt Torkalson, co-patentees with Johnson on the first patent above. The others were in Johnson's name alone. Owl head grips with "IJ&Co" monogram around the screw escutcheons. The rear sight notch is cut in the section of the frame which extends through the top strap to lock the barrel in place. The front sight is a standard blade. The cylinder release button is on the left side of the top strap. Pushing the button releases the latch behind the cylinder so it can be removed. The barrel latch is in the rear of the frame extension above with the release portion between the top strap and the hammer. A few thousand of these were made in various calibers and hammerless variations as well as those with hammers.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% nickel , flaked on the cylinder and trigger guard, 85% casehardening with bright colors on the sides of the hammer. There is a small chip missing at the top of the left grip.
