Manufactured in 1969 this Olympic grade Sako action rifle was manufactured without sights, the sporter weight barrel is blue, the serrated trigger is gold plated, satin grey receiver, hinged floor plate and trigger guard, the bolt is polished and jeweled and the follower is polished. The front receiver ring is engraved with a fox running in tall grass on the right side, a hare running in long grass on the left side and the side wall and rear sides are scroll engraved. The front sides are signed "F Marechal". The trigger guard is engraved with a hawk in a tree and the floor plate is engraved with prairie dogs and scroll engraved on the attaching metal. The trigger guard is signed "LA" and the floor plate " A BEE".( Anglo Bee). The breech end of the barrel has a 2 inch scroll engraved wedge on each side. The rear of the barrel and top of the receiver are factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine checkering, floral and punch dot hand carving on the forearm and grip area, contrasting forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped brass inset in the grip cap, raised comb, cheek piece, black plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. Complete with a leather bound Browning hard case with fleece and cloth lining.
