Standard Browning markings on the barrel and upper tang. Fabrique National "NP" proofmarks are stamped on top of the barrel and the adjacent frame to simulate the Winchester proofmarks on the original Model 1886s. The sides of the receiver are engraved with mountain scenes. There are two bears, one with a salmon, highlighted in gold, on the right side and two running deer, also highlighted in gold on the left. The engraver's signature, "T. MORE", is engraved on the lower edge of the left scene. The deluxe walnut stocks have cut checkering in a larger pattern than is normally found on these guns. This rifle came from the collection of the largest Browning dealer in the U. S. and he had his choice of all that came into the country.
