Description:

This is a nice example of a scarce prewar Polish Radom 1935 pistol. These early pistols can be distinguished by the Polish Eagle and "1939" date on the side of the slide. This pistol was produced very close to the end of production which stopped at serial number 49400. The pistol has the polished satin blue finish and checkered black plastic grips. The grips have "VIS" molded into the right grip and "FB" into the left. This pre-war "three lever" pistol has the decocking lever, slide stop and takedown lever on the left side of the slide and frame. A stock slot is milled into the rear of the grip strap. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM / 1939r" followed by the Polish Eagle and "VIS-wz.35 / pat. Nr.15567". The serial number "46793" is located on the right side of the frame above the trigger. Proof and inspection marks are stamped on both sides of the trigger guard bow and on the left side of the slide ahead of the decocking lever. The magazine has a blue finish and is unmarked. After the fall of Poland in early WWII the Polish Radom pistols became a secondary issue weapon used widely throughout WWII by the Wehrmacht.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 95-96% of the blued finish remaining overall with wear on the front edges of both sides of the slide, the edges and high spots. The black plastic grips are in fine condition with a very small crack just starting at the very top of the right side above the grip screw. A very nice scarce pistol made in limited numbers.
