This is a nice example of a mid-WWII High Power pistol that was manufactured under Nazi occupation in the FN Herstal plant. These pistols were in continual production under the Belgium government starting in 1935 and after the fall of Belgium to the Germans in 1940, the Nazi took over the plant and continued to produce these fine pistols for their own use. This model was produced in the first block of serial numbers and is without a letter prefix. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE / HERSTAL BELGIQUE" over BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE" and it has the correct Nazi eagle and eagle / WaA140 Waffenamt proof on the slide, frame and barrel. The right side of the pistol has the matching serial numbers (stacked) on the barrel, slide and frame.

Excellent overall with 99% of a professional reblued finish, the markings are clear and sharp. The grips are in good condition overall showing much wear with age cracks on both sides. A good representative example of a WWII German High Power pistol.

This is a very late WWII German production Walther P-38 as manufactured and assembled in the early part of 1945. The slide is marked on the left side "P.38, next to the serial number and AC45". The right side of the slide is marked with a single "eagle/ swastika" firing proof flanked by two "eagle / 359" acceptance proofs. The right side of the frame and barrel also has the single "eagle / 359" acceptance proof. It has all blued parts and the trigger, slide stop, and takedown are all phosphate finish. Complete with horizontal ribbed brown/ red bakelite grips with a lanyard ring. Blued magazine is marked "P.38" on the left side.

Very good overall with 90% of the original blued finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots, the side of the muzzle, the front edge of the frame and the complete front grip strap. The grips are in very good condition showing only minor wear. It has matching numbers on the slide, barrel and frame.
