Description:

1) Imperial Japanese Army Manual on encampments including tents, revetments, water supplies, etc. 1934 edition with 154 numbered pages containing many illustrations plus 8 large folding plates. Very desirable book in fine condition. 2) Same for rifle practice, slightly smaller book with more folding pages. Dated 1908. Soldiers name in red on title page. Some water and insect damage but very good. 3) Teikoku Kaigun (Greater Navy) magazine 6 by 8-5/8 inches illustrated magazine with Navy theme, advertisements cartoons, etch. Color cover, 108 pages, fine. 4) Hisshau No Michi (Road to Victory). 5 x 7 inches, 78 pages, text only, color cover with cavalry charge. Very good. 5) Gunka Zenshu (War Songs), 208 pages of music and words, 112 pages of text with appears to be poetry. In wood case with one name blanked out and another inscribed. Very good to fine. 6-9) Four Japanese War Bonds issues 1941-1942 all fine. 10-14 Five U.S. books on Japanese Military subjects: a- Intelligence Bulletin Vol 1, No 10 . On booby traps, grenades, etc. b- Vol 4 No 6 on fortification. c- Vol III No 12, same, Okinawa. d- Japanese Air & Ground Forces, e- Soldiers' Guide to Japanese army. 15) Japanese army commemorative sake bottle, 5-7/8 inches high green/ speckled brown glaze with star and "Chuyu" (loyalty and bravery) and "Kinen" (Commemorate). 16) Japanese commemorative sake sup with cavalry horse and soldiers name. Underglaze crack when made, doesn't affect soundness. 17) Same, engineers battalion, Excellent.
