This is one of the current M1 Garand's rifles introduced in 2002 being produced by Springfield Armory of Geneseo Ill. The rifle features a new production M1 Garand receiver, barrel, walnut stock and all other parts are U.S. GI mil- specs. The receiver is marked "U.S. RIFLE / CAL 30 M1 / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY" and the barrel is marked "SPRINGFIELD GENESEO 30-06". Has caution hanging tag advising that the rifle has been head spaced to 2.051 according to the current GI specs, requiring the use of GI military ammunition or good commercially manufactured ammo.

Near new with only some light scuffs on the operating rod.
