Manufactured currently in Cody Wyoming by the Ballard Rifle and Cartridge Company. Globe front sight with a tang mounted vernier rear sight. Fitted with a medium weight octagon barrel finished with deluxe rust bluing. The receiver is beautifully casehardened and marked "BALLARD RIFLE AND CARTRIDGE/ Co. LCC - Cody Wyoming USA/ BALLARD'S PATENT. NOV 5, 1861" on the right. Pistol grip action with double set triggers and Schuetzen loop and spur lever. This rifle also features a fancy walnut checkered pistol grip stock with a hand rubbed finish, schnabel forend and casehardened checkered buttplate.

Near new. Metal surfaces retain 99% plus original finish with only a few slight handling marks scattered. The wood is also near mint the checkering is crisp.
