Description:

This is an excellent example of a prewar 1906 Commercial American Eagle Luger in the 9mm configuration. These early Lugers were made expressly for export to the United States to increase overseas sales. It also has the grip safety, the lower safety area has been milled out and is polished bright, and there is no stock lug. The top of the chamber is marked with the American Eagle crest, and the front toggle link is marked with the DWM logo. The pistol has a blue finish with straw colored small components, checkered walnut grips, and a nickel-plated magazine with wooden base that is correctly marked "Cal 9mm". Correct extractor with the English word "LOADED" which is visible when there was a cartridge in the chamber. All matching numbers.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish. Approximately 80% of the original straw colors are present. There is some light wear on the raised edges, and limited amounts of spotting and dings. The excellent grips have a little darkening and some pressure dents. The action is excellent.
