Description:

This is a very nice example of a scarce restored 1906 Russian Military Contract DWM Luger pistol. These pistols were produced on a very limited contract for basis with only a total of 1000 pistols ever manufactured. All were produced in 9mm and all have that very distinctive large crossed "Moisin-Nagant" rifle chamber markings, and the distinctive Cyrillic markings on the safety and extractor. The pistol is void of any proof or acceptance marks. These were numbered from 1-1000 with this specific pistol being serial numbered on the front of the frame with "456". The only parts that are numbered, is the frame, underside of the barrel, trigger, side plate, takedown lever, breechblock and front and rear toggle. It has a unmarked wood base, nickel plated magazine.

Rating Definition:

Near mint overall with nearly all of a professionally restored blue finish with wear on the side of the muzzle, the side plate hump, and the front edges of the frame rails with 60-75% of the straw color on the small parts. The barrel is replaced and numbered to match the pistol. The grips are in excellent condition with some minimal minor handling marks or light pressure dents in a few places on both sides from light use, with a small repair on the upper rear corner of the left grip directly under the safety lever.
