This is a nice example of a early 1930 production Broomhandle Mauser pistol, that has two sets of grips, a wooden shoulder stock and leather carrier. The top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" and the right side is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/ OBERNDORF, A. NECKAR D.R.P.u.A.P.". The left side of the frame is marked with the large Mauser Banner logo in the rear milled panel and the lower left side of the magazine well has several small Chinese characters which translate to "Made in Germany". It has the late reinforced rear section of the barrel and still retains the frame rails with the milled cutouts. It is serial numbered only on the left side of the barrel extension with the "crown U" proof on the rear of the breech bolt and the left side of the chamber area. It is missing the correct set of grips for this pistol but it comes with two other sets of grips, one for early 1896 commercial model that are numbered to a different pistol on the back and the other set is beautiful pair of carved ivory grips with Chinese dragoons on them. It also has a very nice late production Mauser banner stock that is without a stock attaching iron and an unmarked leather carrying harness with the wooden handled cleaning rod.

Very good overall with approximately 95-96% of the blue finish remaining overall with some minor restoration on the outside of the barrel as it shows some roughness or circular marks around the outside, with the balance of pistol showing minor wear on the edges and high spots, front of the frame rails, lower edges of the floor plate and back strap. Both grips are in very good to excellent condition. The stock is also in very good condition overall with nice markings but showing some heavier pressure dents on the left side in front of the stock proofs and as noted it is missing the metal attaching stock iron. The leather carrier is excellent with a nice supple appearance and color overall, but appears to be a little too large.
