This is a very good example of a 1941 production Luger as manufactured by the Mauser factory. The top of the chamber area is dated "41" for the year of manufacture and the toggle is marked "byf", the wartime code for the Mauser Factory. The left side of the frame is marked "P.08" just below the toggle assembly . The right side of the receiver is stamped with two "eagle / 135" army acceptance marks and an "eagle / swastika" Army firing proof mark. The right side of the barrel has a small acceptance proof, and the underside has the matching serial number along with the bore markings of 8,81. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively and all the components have a salt blued finish. The grips are checkered walnut. The previous owner scratched his SSN on the front strap. The magazine is a correct blued version, marked "122" over "eagle/ 37" on the left side, with the extruded aluminum base marked "1103/ i/ +". It is complete with a brown leather flap holster marked "KARL BOCKER/ 1939/ (illegible)", "eagle / swastika/ WaA727", and RARE "eagle/ swastika/ M" on the back, with a takedown tool and extra magazine marked "8358/ g/ +/ eagle/ 63" on the base. The outside of the holster has been fitted with three Nazi badges (two eagle with swastika, one black silver and red tricolor).

Very fine, with approximately 75-80% of the original finish remaining. There is some smooth wear around the muzzle and high edges, along with a smooth gray patina/ thinning on the barrel and backstrap, with some spotting or light pin-prick pitting. The grips are fine, with some minor wear and dings. Holster is good as noted, with some scratching and wear. Mechanically excellent.
