This specific rifle was designed and built to resemble a scaled up version of a Remington 700 style action, a truly proven and long lasting design which has been produced with the very desirable three shot box magazine, as most of the current and previous 50 BMG rifles were produced in a single shot type action only. The receiver is extended over the top of the bolt. Similar to the Remington 788 but it still retains the front long lugs. The one-piece, Picatinny type, scope mount that is fitted to the top of the receiver with six cap head screws on which is mounted a M1-16X Leupold tactical scope with a Duplex cross-hair. This scope has the 1/4 minute click for fine adjustments. These Leupold scopes are the premier long range rifle scopes that are used by the military, Police and civilian long range target shooters today. The rifle has a huge 9 inch long bolt with two locking lugs with spiral flutes machined into the bolt body with a SAKO style extractor. The barrel is approximately 28 inch long with eight lands and grooves, that has a profile very similar to the AAI L96 sniper rifles that were used by the British with a 1-1/2 inch breech diameter that extends for 5-1/2 inches then tapers down to 1-1/4 inch which then runs the full length of the barrel to the muzzle with a screw on 4-1/2 inch muzzle brake. The left side of the barrel and receiver are marked "50 BMG, RC-1058, ROBAR PHOENIX. AZ. USA". All the metal surfaces (except the bolt ) have been finished in one of the baked on hard-coat finishes that is impervious to oils and moisture. It is fitted in a MacMillan style one-piece Kevlar or fiberglass material stock in which the rifle has been bedded with aluminum pillars and an epoxy-steel type bedding compound. The stock has been fitted with a Parker-Hale type bipod in a spigot mount on the front of the stock. It is complete with a .50 cal cleaning rod, bore brushes and accessories, two cans of .50 cal ammunition, the first can contains approximately 100 rounds of linked .50 cal ammo manufactured by Seiler and Beloit and the second can contains approximately 75-100 rounds of ammunition produced by the Thunderbird Cartridge Co Inc. using GI bullets and LC marked cases. The ammo looks very clean and of an excellent quality. The complete rifle, stock and accessories are all housed in an aluminum carrying case. The rifle looks as new overall with no marks on the bolt face at all. The stock, Leupold scope and accessories all appear to be in like new condition.
