This is the original and very first AK-47 style rifle that was imported in the early 1970s. These Finnsh Valmet were probably the best of any of the AK rifle as produced by the Valmet factory in Finland. These rifles employed many unique and distinct features that are only found on the Finnish rifle versions. This rifle is fitted with a black metal folding stock and is chambered in the very RARE .223 caliber. It has the heavier stamped receiver and top cover with the fully adjustable military style rear sight graduated to 600 meters with a hooded front sight that is equipped with a flip-up night sight. It also has the unique three prong flash hider with bayonet lug, and the heavier detachable gas tube. The receiver is marked on the "VALMET/ MADE IN FINLAND" on right and caliber designation on the left. This rifle is imported by Interarms of Alexandria Virginia as also marked on the left. It is complete with a black nylon sling, two additional original Valmet magazines and three other metal magazines.

Very good to excellent, with 97-98% original parkerized finish remaining. The barrel and receiver show only a few collectors style handling marks and scratches. The forearm shows a few scattered scratches
