Manufactured by Mauser and imported by Springfield Armory. Barrel was manufactured without sights. Features a built in muzzle brake/ flashider. A scope rail is mounted on the top of the barrel at the breech end. Includes a Nimrod 6x40 scope. The left side of the barrel at the breech and the left side of the receiver ring are marked with various proof marks, the serial number, and the caliber. The receiver on this rifle is the unique Mauser "Short Action" model in which the rear portion of the receiver cycles with the bolt. The left side of the receiver is marked "MAUSER-WERKE OBERNDORF GMBH MOD. 66S". The rifle features an adjustable trigger for pull and travel. The stock is a specially designed oversized target type with a broad forend and a thumb hole pistol grip. The grip and the forend are textured. The stock also features an adjustable cheek piece and a black rubber recoil pad. Complete with Springfield Armory box numbered to the gun, cable lock, and Certificate of Authenticity noting that this Israeli Defense Force Mauser Sniper Rifle is an original authentic military sniper rifle used by IDF soldiers. Less than 100 are known to have been imported into the U.S. by Springfield Armory.

Excellent as partially restored with approximately 99% finish remaining overall. The barrel and front portion of the receiver have been refinished with a black parkerized finish which shows only slight wear and minor handling marks overall. The new finish has covered some minor dings and scrapes which remain visible in some areas. The scope has a couple of touched up blemishes. The stock has been freshened and is very good with some minor dings and scratches and shows one moderate scrape in the left side of the forend.
