This is the improved version of the Italian BM59 which was designed after the WWII Garand rifle. It used a twenty round box magazine and has the M1 Garand style military rear sight. It has the unique, integral front gas cylinder assembly that functions as a flashider, manufactured without bayonet lug. The receiver is marked "P. BERETTA / MADE IN ITALY" over the serial number and the left side of the receiver is marked "MOD 62 308 W, BERBEN CORP. NY. NY.", this company was the forerunner of the Current "Beretta USA Corp". It has a walnut stock and handguard with a folding metal buttstock. Complete with original canvas case with magazine.

Very good with approximately 90% green parkerized finish remaining overall. The barrel and receiver show only a few light scratches and marks overall. The operating rod shows some areas of covered pitting. The folding stock shows scattered spotting and light pitting. The wood is also very good with one minor gouge in the right side below the operating rod and a few light dings overall.
