This is an excellent example of an early semi-automatic version of the M-16 rifle, produced before the 1994 Assault Weapon Ban. It has a fixed post front sight and folding adjustable tow position aperture rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked "C MP CHROME BORE" and is equipped with a late birdcage flash hider, triangular handguards, and bayonet lug. The receiver has the Rampant Colt imprint, AR-15 markings (indicating pre-1989 manufacture), standard safe and fine features, no shell deflector or forward assist. Smooth straight stock with checkered pistol grip, sling mounts, black canvas sling, and butt storage compartment.

Excellent, with 98% of the original finish. There are a few light scratches and dents overall, high edge wear. The handguards have two pieces of plastic broken off at one of the vent holes. The action is excellent, and shows only light test firing.
