Two 18-inch unmarked heavy sporter weight barrels made without sights. No cartridge markings, one appears to be a 30-06, the other a 6 mm Rem (244 Rem). One forearm for both barrels with two alignment pins and an alignment set screw on the under side of the stock. Model 700 ADL type action without a floor plate. With a Leupold Vari-X-II 3-9x scope on Leupold mounts. Custom extra fancy claro walnut stock with fleur-de-lis checkering, steel grip cap, solid recoil pad. Matching forearm with schnabel tip and extensive fleur-de-lis checkering. Custom Kimble extra heavy walnut take down piano case with brass lock and hardware, leather handle. Purple velvet French fitted interior with a fully padded lid. A small plate on the outside lid reads "Authur Godfrey 1956". This is not a generic case but custom made for this particular 2 barrel takedown rifle. The Leupold Vari-X-II scope and Remington Model 700 were not available in the 1950's. Information provided by the consignor is that the rifle was originally made for Authur Godfrey who was a radio and T.V. personality who died in 1983.

Excellent as custom built with 99% blue and the custom stock shows no finish wear.
