Originally manufactured in 1958, this Model 70 was custom built by Keith Heppler for General Curtis Lemay. It features a hooded ramp front sight with an adjustable folding rear on a high polished blue barrel. There are standard Winchester markings on the left side of the barrel and receiver. Matte blue finished action with Redfield scope bases and a Kahles 39X42 scope installed. Jeweled bolt with hinged floorplate and serrated trigger. Extra fancy English walnut stock with wrap around fine line checkering on the forearm and pistol grip. Raised shadow line cheekpiece with a gray metal grip cap, Schnabel forend and Pachmayr red rubber buttpad. The English walnut stock has exceptional black grain and lays out well. The fit & finish is outstanding.
