The receiver has been factory scroll and punch dot engraved with a running deer in a circle on the left side and a buffalo on the right. The front sight has been removed and the block remains and there is a Vernier tang type sight at the rear. Standard #6 loop and spur lever and double set triggers. Straight grip fancy checkered #6 stock with cheek piece, high comb and fitted with a nickel plated Schuetzen butt plate. The forearm has been replaced with a custom 3 1/4" nickel plated brass forearm which will accommodate a palm rest. Pull is 13 1/2 inches. Complete with a leather hard case with a shoulder strap and carrying handle.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The barrel has a smooth brownish patina, the receiver and lever have a smooth gray patina and the forearm and buttplate retain most of the original nickel plating with some exposed brass which has an aged patina. The stock is excellent with a few minor dents and dings and sharp checkering. There are a couple of hairline cracks on the left side of the wrist where the stock meets the receiver. The markings are clear. The action is fine. The case is good with some moderate wear. The flap shows some heavy wear and there is a hole in it as well as the strap missing. The buckle and securing strap are still intact on the body of the case. Some of the stitching is beginning to fray, otherwise the stitching is tight.
