This is a nice example of an WWII Russian Sniper rifle as manufactured at the Ishevsk factory. Many of these rifles were imported in the early 1990s directly from Russia when they were strapped for money and they were trying to obtain hard US Currency in trade. The top of the rear portion of the barrel is marked with the Russian Hammer and Sickle, over 1943 (for the year of manufacture) the serial number and the Arrow in a Triangle proof mark for the Ishevsk factory. The left side of the receiver still has the PU scope base attached and the PU mount is correctly electric penciled with the rifle and scope serial number that was applied during rebuild. The scope is a late WWII PU model that is marked on top with a star over the Russian Hammer and Sickle over 1943 and the serial number 30027. The rifle has the original tangent rear sight calibrated from 100-2000 meters with a hooded post front. It still has the original sniper bolt which was correctly lengthened and turned down to clear the scope. The stock and handguard are the original WWII versions showing some faint proof marks in places with that typical Russian orange color. It is complete with an original set of leather scope caps, a soft green scope case, brown two compartment ammo pouch and a canvas sling.

Very good as arsenal refurbished, with 99% of the current blue finish, showing a few light handling marks overall. The stock shows some minor pressure dents. Optics are clear, and the action is excellent.
