The left side of the receiver is marked "G43" followed by the serial number and "ac44" code indicating manufacture at the Walther plant. The serial number is also present on the left side of the bolt carrier under the cocking knob. The cocking knob is on the left side, safety lever on the rear of the receiver, and a scope mounting block on the right side. The action cover is the stamped version with the sliding dust cover. It has a 10 round detachable magazine marked "aye" followed by "eagle / WaA843" and "K43". Ramp blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated to 1,200 meters. The stock is the correct WWII pistol grip laminated version with the handguard, steel buttplate with buttstock compartment and a brown reproduction leather sling.

Near fine (with exception noted below), with 60% of the original dull military blue finish, showing a mixed gray patina and moderate handling marks and edge wear. The stock is good as revarnished and repaired, showing a duffle bag cut repair behind the barrel band, chipping around the butt, with an age crack on the right side below the receiver, and scattered dings and scratches. The action is excellent.
