Winchester Model 63 Rifle manufactured in 1947. The rifle has a blued barrel and receiver and varnished walnut stock and forend. The barrel has a front sight with German silver bead and sporting type rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked: "MADE IN NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA/-WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-", followed by "-WINCHESTER-/-TRADE MARK-" and "MODEL 63-22L.RIFLE-SUPERSPEED & SUPER- X" below the rear sight. Oval Winchester proof marks are stamped on the top of the barrel and receiver. The serial number is stamped on the upper and lower portions of the receiver.
