Produced in 1944. The pistol has a parkerized finish and is fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver-plated Colt Medallions. The slide has the squared rear sight and half moon front sight. The right side of the frame is marked "U.S. PROPERTY" with the early one-inch marking. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number above the trigger guard and the Colt Verified Proof on the trigger guard bow. The right side of the slide is marked: "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE .32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" in two lines. The opposite side of the slide has the extended two line Hartford address and 1897 and 1903 patent dates with the Rampant Colt trade mark behind the slide serrations. The magazine is blued and the floor plate is marked: "CAL.32/ COLT" in two lines.

Excellent, with 99% of the parkerization. Smooth wear is present on the high edges along with some scattered light handling marks overall. The grips are excellent with light pressure dents. Excellent action.
