The Model 61 was produced by Winchester in a variety of configurations. This particular rifle was manufactured in 1954 in a rare single caliber form. The rifle is marked on the left side of the barrel with the Winchester address/ proof steel marking followed by "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK" and "MODEL 61- 22 L RIFLE/ FOR SHOT ONLY". It features a single silver bead front sight on a counter bore barrel. Checkered push button safety and magazine tube handle, a 3/4 length magazine tube, 17 groove flat bottom forearm with a smooth pistol grip stock and checkered metal buttplate.

Excellent with approximately 99% of the original blue finish remaining and only slight finish loss on the magazine tube and barrel from cycling the action. The wood is excellent with some scattered very light pressure dents and surface scratches.
