The receiver is marked "U.S / MODEL OF 1917 / REMINGTON" in three lines over the serial number. The rifle barrel is marked: "R"/ ordnance bomb/ 8-18" in three lines behind the front sight. The bolt has the Eddystone "E" stamped on the bottom. The receiver is stamped with an Ordnance Bomb on the left rail and two Eagle Head inspection marks, one over "E7" and the other "E3" on the top of the receiver rail, "eagle head / 259" on the bolt release lever and an eagle head proof next to the safety lever. Flip up rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards and marked with an "R" on the bottom. The left side of the front sight base and the right side of the front sight are marked with an "R". Smooth straight grip stock with bayonet lug and stacking swivel on the front band, full hand guard, boxed "S.A.A." and "E" cartouches on the left side, swing swivels, tan canvas "Nobuckl" sling, grooved forearm, and smooth metal buttplate.

Arsenal refurbished with 90% of the WWII parkerized finish, showing a few areas of fading on the receiver and light handling marks. Replacement stock is very good, with some pressure dents and chipping on the forearm, lighter dents elsewhere, and light varnish loss. Excellent action.
